WHY WE ARE SPECIAL

LIVING A GOLDEN LIFE EVERYDAY

WHAT MAKES OUR CENTER SPECIAL?

It's the warm, vibrant atmosphere created by the people you'll see here each day. Equal numbers of Queens men and women seeking stimulating activities with people who share their varied interests.

Robert Couche Senior Center encourages intergenerational activity between nearby schools and provides internships for college students.

Our Advisory Council of 30 participants, elected by their peers each year, works with staff and volunteers to develop new programs, menus and trips.

Visitors are always welcomed at our spacious center, open 250 days a year. Activities are conducted in a dozen different rooms all day long from 8am to 4pm.

Getting here is easy. If you need help reaching us, our two comfortable vans transports people from their homes each morning and returns them in the afternoon. With free parking for 50 cars, many of our 'regulars' drive to the Center, which can also be reached by bus or the Long Island Railroad which is just a block away.

We are glad to accept donations of any size. Volunteer opportunities are unlimited at the Robert Couche Center, for people from 60 years and older, just let us know!
